Reach Your Financial Objectives

At Peak, we strive to help our clients reach their financial objectives and serve them at an extraordinary level. The relationships we form are based on our clear understanding of your unique goals, risk tolerance, family situation, income needs and the level of guidance and advice you seek from us as your investment adviser.

Why We Are Different

We differ from most of our competition in a number of ways. We are compensated exclusively by fees paid by our clients thereby allowing us to work in our clients’ best interests. In other words, we act in a fiduciary capacity when advising our clients.

Unlike Peak, many of our competitors receive most, if not all of their compensation (commissions) from the products they recommend. Most of the time there are hidden commissions and fees which are not transparent (i.e. hidden from) clients. In that capacity, by law those advisors are required to work in their firm’s best interest, not the client’s. Other advisors work as a fiduciary only part of the time for their clients (charge fees some of the time) and are commissioned salespeople at other times.

These advisors may call themselves fee-based, attempting to confuse the client into thinking they are fee-only. Usually the individuals that represent these firms have an incentive to recommend high cost products, such as whole life and/or universal life insurance, variable annuities and A, B & C class shares of mutual funds.
